The Role

The Management Accountant is a key contributor to financial excellence, ensuring the business maintains its strong growth trajectory as it scales further into global markets. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role supports high-level budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning, working with department heads to develop cohesive financial strategies and insights that shape critical business decisions.

Responsibilities also include overseeing tax preparation and compliance, audits, and internal controls, along with driving systems and process improvements. A central aspect of this role is establishing a scalable financial framework that evolves in tandem with the company’s expansion, ensuring the finance function remains robust and forward-focused.

The Person

Experience and qualifications: A seasoned professional with over 5 years of accounting experience, ideally from the fast-paced world of e-commerce scale-ups. Whether CA/CPA qualified or actively pursuing these credentials, a solid grasp of accounting principles ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulations.

Commercial Acumen: Has a commercial mindset that transforms financial data into actionable insights with the ability to present numbers clearly and enables cohesive business decision-making across all departments.

Strategic Planner: Proficiency in budgeting and cash flow forecasting for strategic financial planning and resource allocation to help steer the business toward its financial goals with confidence.

Tech Savvy: Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience with NetSuite, ERPs or accounting software, with the ability to enhance efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting through system optimisation.

Food Manufacturing Specialist: Relevant experience in food manufacturing accounting practices, understanding industry-specific challenges and regulatory requirements.
